Red Cross Safety Classes

Swim-in Zone class structure with Red Cross Programming

At Swim-in Zone we use the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Programming. The goal of the Red Cross programming is to help people learn to be safe when they are in, on or around the water. At Swim-in Zone we want your children to learn to be safe, competent, confident swimmers. We want your child to be comfortable first just being in the water, then underwater, then moving through the water and finally moving on top of the water with rhythmic breathing. Our lesson structure is designed to take your child happily through all the steps to becoming a competent swimmer.

WHALE Tales- Water Safety Program- FREE to Nursery Schools, Day Cares and Elementary Schools

WHALE Tales, an acronym for Water Habits Are Learned Early, is a Red Cross Water Safety Program which focuses on safety habits for anywhere there is water such as a pool, lake, pond or ocean. Simple rhymes, such as "Be Cool, Follow the Rules" or "Don't Just Pack It, Wear Your Jacket" are presented in a format suitable for the age of the audience in either a video, story or discussion format. Our water safety educator will come to your school or day care. The presentation length is tailored to suit the ages of the children and can be anywhere from 20-45 minutes. See what the children had to say:
