All participants, whether adults
or children, must have a signed waiver on file. The group organizer is
responsible to make sure all participants have a waiver. |

A parent or an adult
responsible for the child must be in the facility when the child is in the
facility. No children may be “dropped off”. |

For family swim or recreational
swim, a parent must be IN THE WATER
with all children under 5 regardless of swimming ability and any child
over 5 who cannot pass the swim test. The swim test is to swim 1
length of the pool and tread water for a minute. |

A lifeguard must be on duty,
before anyone enters the pool area. |
 |
Only wearable flotation devices
approved by the U.S. Coast Guard are permitted; no swimmies, floaties,
swim rings, etc. |
 |
Recreational swim participants
may bring toys and noodles or use Swim-in Zone diving rings, kickboards
and noodles. No other Swim-in Zone equipment will be permitted. Abuse of
Swim-in Zone equipment or endangering others will result in the equipment
withdrawal. |
 |
No recreational diving of any kind will be
permitted in the pool. The pool depth is 3 1/2 ft to 5 ft deep. |
 |
Wear jewelry at your own
discretion, as it presents many problems, injury or loss. |
 |
Swim-in Zone is not responsible
for valuables, jewelry or any articles lost, stolen or damaged in
the facility or on facility grounds. Bring your own lock for your locker. Locks must be
removed daily. Leave jewelry and valuables at home, Swim-in Zone is not
responsible for things in lockers. |

Children who are not potty
trained must wear swim diapers (disposable or wash and wear )under their bathing suits.
Regular disposable diapers fall apart in the pool and clog our filter.

Water is permitted in the pool
area, no other food and drink. |
 |
No street shoes or strollers in
the pool area. |
 |
No chewing gum. Please remove
bandaids. |
 |
No running, pushing, shoving,
horseplay, profanity, or any other behavior that might disrupt or harm. |

No smoking anywhere in the
facility |
 |
Glass items are prohibited. |
 |
Appropriate swimming attire- no
jeans or cut-offs. T-shirts are discouraged. |
 |
Lifeguard decisions are final.
Mistreatment of staff will not be tolerated. |
 |
No one should swim with open
sores, contagious skin conditions such as molluscum contagiosum, pink eye
or diarrhea. Chicken pox scabs must be completely gone. A doctor’s
release note may be required with certain skin conditions when returning
to the pool. |

It is very important to secure
long hair in a bathing cap or hair tie when swimming in any pool or
relaxing in a hot tub. |
 |
Please reserve the ladies and
men’s locker rooms for the adults if possible. Young children taking
parent/child classes may go into the locker rooms with their parents.
Older children and teenagers may use the locker rooms. Children should use the unisex shower area, restrooms and the designated
changing areas around the parent observation room. |

Swimmers must shower in their
bathing suit when using the unisex shower area. |
 |
Good goggles are recommended, encouraged
and sold at Swim-in Zone. |
 |
Our deck space is very limited.
Parents will not be permitted to sit or stand on the deck to watch, but it
is OK to come in to take pictures. Parents may watch the lessons through
the large windows in the multipurpose room right in front of the pool
steps or participate in the water with their child of any age. |
