What can I expect when I arrive for open swim?
Open swim is available to a variety of clients.  We have lap swimmers, aquatic exercisers, and families coming to play in the water.  There may also be lessons taking place, and on weekend afternoons there may be birthday parties in the pool.  We ask that you do your best to stay clear of lessons and parties, and we may rope off a section of the pool for this purpose.  If there are many lap swimmers, you may be required to share a lap lane.  Friday night open swim hours are shared with Family Practice Swim, during which swim school students and their families are invited to swim and practice what they learned in swimming lessons.  These nights are often well attended and may impact the amount of space left in the pool for other swimmers.  We have noodles, life jackets, float belts, kickboards, and pull buoys available for your use.  You may bring your own goggles, flippers, and other equipment as needed.

May open swimmers use the locker rooms and shower facilities?
Yes.  If you wish to use a locker, please bring your own lock and remember to remove it when you leave.  Lockers are not for overnight use.  Adults and children under 5 are welcome to use the men’s and women’s locker rooms for shower and bathroom facilities.  Children over the age of 6 are not permitted to use the locker room of the opposite sex.  When possible, children should use the unisex group shower and changing rooms in the party room.  We ask that students in the group area remain in their bathing suits while showering.

What is a punch card?
A punch card allows you a set number of visits to the pool during open swim times.  Punch cards are available in quantities of 12, 24, and 36 punches.  The number of punches used with each visit depends on the number of people swimming.  Any person age 6 to adult counts as one punch, and a family of 3 or more counts as 3 punches regardless of the number of members swimming.  Punch cards do not expire, and they do not require a registration fee.  They are non-refundable.  Please click the following link for current pricing.  *Membership flyer PDF*

What is a membership?
A membership allows you a set period of time during which you can use the pool as often as you like during open swim times.  Memberships are available in increments of one month, three months, six months, and one year.  They are priced by length as well as the number of members in your family.  Children under 5 are free.  Memberships require a one-time, non-refundable $35 registration fee and a yearly $15 renewal fee.  They have an expiration date and will lapse whether or not they are used.  Each membership comes with a complimentary free swim pass for each month of the membership.  We offer discounts on memberships for students, military, and seniors.  Please click the following link for current prices. *Membership flyer PDF*

What is better for me, a punch card or a membership?
It depends on how often you will be coming to swim and how many swimmers are in your party. The swim membership will expire on the expiration date whether you use it or not, but it is the cheaper option if you and your family plan to come more than 7 times in a month. Punch cards do not expire and are the more economical choice if your attendance will be more erratic.

May I just drop in to swim and pay for each visit individually?
Yes.  Our drop-in swim rates are:  Adult, $12; age 7-16, $9; age 3-6, $5; and age 2 and under, free.

What is Friday Family Practice Swim?
Friday Family Practice Swim is a benefit received by families of students enrolled in swim lessons.  The student and his/her immediate family may come from 1-2:30 or 6:30-8:00pm on Fridays to enjoy open swimming with their families and practice what they learned in swim lessons.  The price is $5 for families who have a balance on their account and free for families without a balance due.

What is Stay and Play?
Stay and Play is a program that allows a parent to swim during their child’s swim lesson and remain in the water with their children after lessons to practice and play.  It is only available Monday-Thursday from 9am-2pm.  The cost is $30 for the entire session per adult.

NON-PROFIT GROUPS

Is there special pricing for non-profit groups?
Scout groups or non-profit groups have special pricing.  We also have Boy Scout Merit Badge Counselors on staff (Girl Scouts do not have a certified Badge Counselor system).  There is an additional charge to use our Merit Badge Counselors.
